Bingo Requirements

 

Bingos are a very important component of club operations. They are the reason that we can offer our programs at prices that you would not find in other communities. The Friday night bingo sponsored by Arctic Edge Skating Club runs year round and pays for ice costs which total in excess of $65,000 per year.

Junior, Intermediate/Teen StarSkate parents are required to work a minimum of 8 bingos for one skater. Senior StarSkate parents are required to work a minimum of 10 bingos per year. Families having more than one StarSkater work 5 bingos per year for the second skater.

Don't worry about never having worked bingo before. Our Bingo scheduler, Denise Schneider, can answer almost any question you may have. We also schedule newcomers with knowledgeable bingo volunteers who can provide you with hands-on help. 

Please contact Denise at littlesalmon4@yahoo.ca to get yourself on the schedule. Please send Denise a list of the Fridays that you prefer to work and he will try and accommodate your selections. When selecting your dates please try to select no more than one bingo per month, at least one long weekend during the year and a bingo per month in two out of the three summer months (June, July & August). Denise will offer an alternative if the date that you have requested is already spoken for.

If you are behind on your bingos and want to catch up or are available to do bingos on short notice we would love to add you to our "Last minute Call Sheet". Again please e-mail Denise and include a cell / phone number where you could be reached between 5:30 and 5:45pm on Fridays.
