CanSkate Early Academy StarSkate Adult
Arctic Edge Skating Club Executive and Coaches have been working hard to get organized for next years season. Here are some of the things that you will notice in 2011 - 2012.
- CanSkate will be offered four times per week, Tues, Wed and Thurs 6:16 - 7:00 PM and Saturday morning 9:15 - 10:00 AM.
- We have changed the way the we bridge skaters from CanSkate to figure skating. The Early Academy program replaces the Jumpstart program. It is offered just prior to CanSkate on Tuesday, and on Saturday morning from 9:15 - 10:00 AM.
- We have changed our fee structure for StarSkaters to allow you to choose and pay for only those sessions that you wish to skate on.
- We are offering early morning skating once again, to accommodate the schedules of many of our skaters and coaches and offer greater opportunity for private lessons.
- The Monday night Adult skating time will once again embrace adults skaters of all levels.
- We had great feedback on our StarSkate group lessons and will be continuing them this season.
- As is the case in most years, the September Starskate schedule is not as predictable as we would like. This is due to the fact that there will only be one sheet of ice in at that time and we need to share it with a variety of user groups.
- Please bear with us as we get registration information out. The fire at the Canada Games Centre has affected our planning significantly and ice times for Setpember and the fall season are not yet firm as they depend on progress made in repairing the Canada Games Centre.
We know that many of you are already planning your fall schedules and we hope that you will make skating part of your regular activities.
Registration is easy:
- Registration forms are available on this website. You can print them off, complete them and take them with your payment to Sport Yukon
We definitely look forward to seeing you at the rink.
